Bullying occurs in most schools around the world. It happens for many reasons including: being overweight, race, sexual orientation, disabilities, looks, and personality traits. A lot of kids that are bullied don't have very many friends for fear that they might bully them, too. Bullying can happen to anyone no matter how pretty or ugly, stupid or smart. Kids who get bullied could develope serious mental health issues. Some of those could be depression and social anxiety. Bullying could also lead to self destruction, by burns, cutting, pulling their hair out, giving themselves bruises, etc. In extreme cases of bullying, suicide could also happen.
Some bullies might have reasons to bully. The bully might be abused by parents or siblings, the parents might behave aggressively towards them, they could just want to release some of their anger, or because they just want to feel cool. Bullies could also develope issues, like a short temper.
Sometimes kids refuse to go to school or social events because of how much they get bullied. At school, they might even come late to avoid being bullied or go late to class because they were being bullied.
Some cases of bullying go unnoticed by school officals and teachers. There are some cases when the teacher allows or ignores the bullying just so the bully doesn't get into trouble. The bully might be in sports or special activities so the teacher might not want them to get into trouble so they don't get kicked out of those events.
There are many types of bullying such as cyberbullying, physical bullying (beatings), mental bullying, etc.
Maybe more than 13 million kids from ages 6 to 17 have committed suicide from cyber bullying.
BULLYING EFFECTS EVERYONE. PUT YOURSELF IN THAT PERSON'S SHOES BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BULLY SOMEONE.
